Security + Certification Program There is compelling evidence that neither technologies nor policies alone offer effective protection against security threats. A breach in security involving data loss, theft or compromising of financial or customer information can prove to be very detrimental to an organization leading to a loss of confidence in addition to financial losses. The industry and governments around the world must have a well-trained workforce to effectively combat hackers, attacks and security threats on an on-going basis. CompTIA’s Security+ is the standard validation for that workforce. It measures the technical knowledge of networking professionals with 2 years experience. Security+ is a benchmark certification that incorporates a comprehensive range of security knowledge areas, offering those certified a path to numerous fulfilling and challenging security careers. The course provides in-depth coverage of systems security, network infrastructure, user access control, auditing, firewalls, setting up organization wide security policies and guidelines on mitigating security threats. Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician Move Up the IT Career Ladder with a Cisco Certification Cisco Systems is a highly respected world leader in networking products and services. A Cisco CCENT certification opens doors to a career in networking by helping you stand out from the crowd in entry-level positions. Having a CCENT certification often means better networking-related job opportunities and higher pay! The CCENT certification is earned by passing Cisco’s 100-101 ICND1 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1, ver. 2.0) exam. This exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skills required to successfully install, operate, and troubleshoot a small branch office network. In GTCC’s course you will be prepared for the exam by learning how to design a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network. Training includes configuring a LAN switch, configuring a router, connecting to a WAN, and managing network device security. By pursuing this recently updated certification you will broaden your IT skill sets and begin to establish credentials valued by employers. Passing the ICND1 exam is your first step toward earning a Cisco associate-level certification, like the CCNA Routing & Switching certification. After earning the CCENT certification, passing only one additional exam (ICND2) will earn that CCNA certification. As a Cisco Networking Academy instructor, Timothy Perry has been teaching students the skills required to pass Cisco’s ICND1 and ICND2 exams (CCENT and CCNA Routing & Switching certifications) since 2003. As a full-time instructor at GTCC, he has been nationally recognized as a recipient of the prestigious NISOD Excellence in Teaching Award. GTCC is offering the following course to prepare students to pass Cisco’s ICND1 exam, which immediately earns the CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) certification:

Project management The Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) has grown rapidly to become a major project management qualification in North America and Internationally. Rapid growth has seen the number of PMPs jump from the start of the qualification in the 1980s to approximately 10,000 in January 2000 and to a current total of over 475,000 PMPs in 180 countries in 2011.

Extensive research has shown that slightly less than one-third (32%) of all projects are deemed “successful”. Not only does this represent a 68% failure rate, but it also indicates that a massive amount of time and money is wasted on “lost” causes. Whether you are new to project management, want to learn project management tools which will help you be more proficient in your job, need to build your skills and knowledge as a project manager, or are a seasoned PM who would like to become a PMP, GTCC has an offering to meet your goals.
