The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an outstanding game for many reasons. One of the mostlovedaspects of the game is the dragons! These wonderful, magical beings are impossible to ignore as they weave their waythrough the sky of Hyrule. While many games center around dragons, focusing on their ferocity and destruction, Breath of the Wild takes another view entirely. The dragons found in Hyrule represent the spirits of Wisdom, Courage, and Power (the classic combination that forms the Tri-Force).

Once you have completed the tasks on the Great Plateau, the old man will ask you to meet him at the top of the Temple of Time. Speak to him there, and he will reveal that he is actually the spirit of King Rhoam, the last ruler of the Kingdom of Hyrule. The King will provide you with the paraglider and give you directions to leave the Great Plateau and head to Karkiriko Village to speak with Impa. This is the main trigger for not only the dragons, but for the majority of the game. From there, you will start seeing dragons appear over Hyrule in certain areas at certain times.

You will need to locate, track down, and collectparts from all 3 dragons as you progress through the game. Dragon scales, claws, fangs, and horns are needed toreveal various shrines and for upgrades to armor. Additionally, the right dragon part used in the right recipe can enhance elixirs to the point that their effects last far longer than average. So, it is important to know when and where the dragons appear, and how best to go about collecting their items.

3 Dinraal

Dinraal can be found in the Eldin Mountains and the Tabantha Region. The easiest place toshoot Dinraal is the Eldin Great Skeleton. The skeleton is located in the far North, past the Eldin Mountain Range. Warp to the Shora Hah Shrine in the Eldin region and head North from there. Dinraal will spawn around midnight and will float straight down to the Great Skeleton. Wait untilit is close, then simply fire away with any type of arrow. Additionally, the mountains nearby make for a great vantage point when shooting at Dinraal, asyou can glide down from there asit passes the Great Skeleton.

You can also find Dinraal at the Tabantha Great Bridge at 5:00 in the morning. Make your way to the bridge by warping to the Tena Ko'sah shrine and gliding down. Once at the bridge, look to the northeast and you will see Dinraal heading your way. The great dragon will eventuallyfly beneath you on the bridge, and you will have the perfect opportunity for shooting. If you wish to gather multiple parts of Dinraal, create a fire using Wood and Flint and wait until morning for it to show up again. A scale from Dinraal can be taken to the Spring of Power west of the East Akkala Stable to finish an important sidequest.

2 Farosh

Farosh emerges from the Riola Springin the Faron region, at midnight. If you have already activated the Shoda Sah Shrine, you can just warp there and wait. Farosh will emerge from the center of the spring, and it is easy to shoot the horns, fangs, claws, and scales as it is emerging from the water. Be careful! While all 3 of these dragons are peaceful creatures, Farosh's electric aura will shock you. So, take care as you take aim.

Farosh will also spawn at Rassala Lake in the Faron region every morning, with the closing warp point being the Shai Utoh Shrinejust behind the Lakeside Stable. Once it comes out of the lake, it will fly downwards to the Floria Bridge, making it easy to shoot. Its parts can be rather difficult to obtainif they drop into the water, so anything to increase swimming speed (such as the Zora Armor or general speed potions) or anything to give you extra stamina is highly recommended. A campfire can be used to make Frosh reappear as often as you wish, just sit by it until morning. Farosh's scale can be taken to the Spring of Courage north of the Dracozu Lake to complete a Shrine Quest from Kass, and reveal another Shrine.

1 Naydra

Naydra is quite different from its other dragon counterparts and requires an additional trigger before it can begin to fly and respawn.Naydra has been cursed by Calamity Ganon and is unable to move. Its aura will attackharm anyone who comes to close. To help free Naydra from the curse, go to the Spring of Wisdom at thetop of Mount Lanaryu. Once you reach the Spring, approach the statue of the Goddess. A cutscene will play, and she will explain the curse to Link, and howhe can help Naydra.

From there, the dragon will proceed to fly around various parts of the mountain, and you will seethe cursed eyescovering its body at different points. Shootingeach eye with an arrow will destroy it, and will slowly free Naydra from its curse. Do this several times, and Naydra will have fully recovered and will invite you to shoot its body again and grant you a scale, which can then be dropped into the Spring of Wisdom to unlock a Shrine.

As for getting more parts from Naydra, the best place to look is the Lanayru Road - East Gate. The closest Shrine to the East Gate is theDow Na'eh shrine. If you have activated it, simply warp there and proceed to the gate. Naydra flies abovethis point every morning. You can use the cliffs nearby as a place to easily shoot it and to place your campfire if you want to glean multiple parts from Naydra.
